Artist Bio

Mia Shea Williams was born in Washington, D.C. Her childhood was highly involved in the arts and her profound love for the natural world developed in her early days basking in mountain rivers and old growth forests of the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL with a B.A. in human development in 2013. Her passion for life in the visual arts, contemplative psychology, and dance sparked her to pursue making figures out of glass. For the last ten years, through determination and dedication, she has traveled from coast to coast learning the art of flameworking as a full time self employed artist. Mia Shea has dedicated her life’s work to creating authentic beauty and transformational healing for the collective. In the pursuit of mastering borosilicate glass, her sculptures merge the organic beauty of nature and humanity through figurines, large and small. Her glasswork captures the aesthetic intelligence of color, lines and shapes. Her forms flow effortlessly in expression, with an extraordinary eye for detail and proportion. There is a life force pulsing within each piece, a deep connectedness to the mystical nature, bringing inspiration and empowerment to the world.

"Beneath the surface, life is moving.

An eternal beauty untouched.

This art is an expression of what lives in the center of that place, deep within the heart, an invincible life force sparkling, reflecting light."

"Sometimes the best medicine is to breathe deep and receive our own love, so we may give more freely. Its a radical journey to come face to face with all that you are. To no longer escape, avoid, or conform. We all want to see in the dark, to see beyond the longing and experience what is real - to clear the channels and restore connect. This art is a gateway to accessing your own inspiration on your jounrey to live an empowered authentic life."
